Depending on what information you provide on your application form, in some cases the insurance company might want to know more about you and request further medical evidence. If this is the case, the company will get in touch and tell you what further information they need.
In order to support the application an underwriter may, with your consent, request any level of medical evidence that they feel necessary to fully understand your situation. This can involve obtaining a report from your GP (which you can choose to see before it is sent to the company) or in some situations, a mini screening by a paramedic or a medical examination may be carried out. All information will be strictly confidential.
